Vision, Mission & Calling
Mission Statement
Our mission is to share God's love and hope with displaced and at-risk men, women, and children in our community by building personal relationships with them, and loving them right where we find them.
Vision Statement
Our vision is that every displaced and at-risk man, woman, and child in our community will find hope in Christ that takes root and creates change.
Our Calling
At Beacon for Him, we feel called to dig deeper than labels, to go beyond displaced people, street people, drug addicts, abuse victims, the mentally ill, and the poor. We offer services, like food and clothes, books, and connections to resources, but our core mission remains focused on building personal relationships, and loving people right where we find them. Because without personal connection, nothing else matters. If someone feels hopeless, or unloved, or utterly unlovable, how can they even begin to move forward? We are here to offer hope, to show displaced and at-risk men, women, and children that no matter how worthless or broken they feel, we find them lovable. But even greater than all of that, we are here to remind them that God finds them loveable.
This ministry is about shedding judgments and prejudice and allowing our hearts to open up to a group of people who are misunderstood. It's about seeing those who are invisible. It's about standing hip deep in the muddy waters of humility, grace, and suffering, and walking side-by-side with those who often struggle to stand. It's about falling in love with the marginalized, and offering the kind of relationship that makes HOPE take root and creates change.
Beacon for Him Ministries—a Light of Hope to Those in Need. It's not just our tagline, it's our goal. We want to impact our community with programs that range from displaced services to after school and youth assistance programs. We have huge dreams, and have faith we will see them fulfilled. Please keep our ministry in your prayers, and we will keep you updated!
